Mission & Vision

For years, I served my community as a Certified Lactation Counselor and a DONA-trained doula. I was a young mother of three, working full-time, yet something in me always made space to support women through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding. Service has always lived in my family’s bones. My father taught us that even when we feel we have little, we always have something to give — our time, our hands, our energy, and our spiritual walk.

After five years of volunteering, life shifted and I needed to step back to tend to my home. Shortly after, the world entered a season of uncertainty. In those quiet days at home, recovering from surgery and praying for direction, I asked God what He wanted me to do next. I still felt the call to serve mothers, but I didn’t yet know how it would unfold.

One day, He placed the name in my spirit — Sacred Doula Service. I didn’t know the full vision yet, but I recognized His voice. I trusted that the details would come.

In 2020, I met with a mentor from a women’s business program to help clarify the early shape of the idea. Life continued to move, and it wasn’t until 2023 that I made my first committed step — establishing the business legally. With each passing year, each season of motherhood and womanhood, the vision of Sacred Doula Service grew clearer.

By the end of 2024, during a period of deep reflection, I felt the pull again to grow SDS with intention. I wanted it to be not only a place for postpartum care, but also a home for resources, wisdom, connection, and sisterhood. A place where women could find guidance in finances, education, mental health, relationships, and spiritual grounding. A place where mothers could feel supported both practically and emotionally.

I also recognized the deeply personal, social side of womanhood — especially in postpartum. Friendships shift. Support changes. Motherhood can feel isolating when your world rearranges itself. That reality shaped another pillar of my vision: The Girlfriend Experience.

Over the years, I’ve made and cherished beautiful friendships, but the foundation of my understanding of sisterhood comes from my own six sisters. We are seven women ranging from our 30s to 50s, spread across different cities, with different professions and different seasons of life. Yet no matter the distance, schedules, or responsibilities, we always find our way back to each other, whether all together or in smaller groups. They are my original OG girlfriends — the women who taught me what genuine connection, laughter, honesty, and unconditional presence look like. That lived experience is at the heart of what I call The Girlfriend Experience.

Every experience of my life — every birth, every friendship, every challenge, every prayer — has shaped the mission of Sacred Doula Service.
